What You May Not Know About Amazing Grace

Unity should be the goal of every christian. Ain't it just like God to use the slave (a negative) in such a positive, turned it around for the good! Thank u John Newton and thank u Whitney Phipps for reminding us that were all brothers and sister in Christ.I love black gospel!

oh my gosh..this was amazing..it was so beautiful..I CRIED...if ONLY we could UNDERSTAND..it is about UNITY..the DEVIL has been DIVIDING US...to long...i was born in S.C. & sold @ 3 days old, for a mere $25.00...i was raised in the North. Each time I had friends of another race, or acknowledged them in public, I I took a beating for that. Apart from a physical beating..i took the verbal abuse..which rendered me a NOTHING....NOTHING TO THE FAMILY THAT SOLD ME, AND NOTHING TO THE MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY WHO BOUGHT ME.... I refused to hate, or to see difference & suffered the consequences for that...still yet today..i can see that racial divide..in 2012! be it the all black church or the all white..what is strange to me is the Gaither gospels are a mixed group..though Southern, they managed to do the GOD thing..not the BLACK, not the WHITE thing..but the GOD THING...LOVING EACH OTHER..AS OUR FATHER CALLED FOR US TO DO..WHY CAN'T ALL OF US DO THAT? I use to be angry about being SOLD...no longer...I PRAISE GOD...for my heart..I PRAISE GOD...THAT HE GAVE ME THE SPIRITUAL EYES TO SEE HIS LOVE, HIS PEOPLE..they are not IN COLOR...they are in SPIRIT.....IN HIS SPIRIT.. I will go to my grave thanking Him daily...it was a mere few weeks ago, that right here on Facebook, I was being called horrible, horrible names...by whom? by extended family members that I really do not know well, but know that they are bloodline to a certain degree...My birth Father & Mother are Cherokee, with a small amount of Irish from one grandparent only...out of all the kids, only 2 of us look extremely white..with my black straight hair I look entirely different..& of course thinner, you could see my cheek bones..smile..but I am not sure how the others see their race..I guess we are considered white...that is the mystery..what I do know is that my heart has never related to just ONE specific thing..race, idenity...maybe that is because out all of us..i bore the greater burden in being sold the way I was..due to my upbringing..I see things ENTIRELY different..but I can tell you this...GOD, GOD, IS ALL THAT HAS KEPT ME, KEPT MY MIND, MY SANITY, MY HEART...& because I have His heart..for loving my brethren...and not looking at color.........I AM GRATEFUL........To God be the glory....

I was once learning music but didn't have the dedication to keep at it, one day when I was meant to be practising I accidentally found I could play Amazing Grace on the black notes of the piano only. Its good to find out after all these years that it was kinda meant to be played this way! One of my favourite hymns.
